Fall 2027 All-Women's Writing Retreat: New England

Apply now to reserve your spot for Story Sirens Studio’s Fall 2027 New England Writing Retreat, hosted in collaboration with Placeless Events!

Join us October 14–17, 2027 in beautiful New England for an all-ladies writing retreat surrounded by the quintessential sights, colors, and atmosphere of autumn.

This fall, step into a season made for storytelling—where brilliant foliage, crisp autumn air, cozy spaces, and picturesque landscapes create the perfect backdrop for creativity. You’ll find space for adventure, reflection, and a deeper connection to your writing, your voice, and a community of women who share your love of stories.

At this Fall 2027 New England retreat, you’ll stay in a warm, inviting home surrounded by the natural beauty of the region. Here, uninterrupted writing time is paired with the magic of peak fall foliage—fiery reds, brilliant oranges, golden yellows, and every beautiful shade in between—inviting quiet moments of awe and creative renewal.

Whether you’re journaling beside a window overlooking colorful trees, wandering scenic trails, exploring a charming local town, or gathering for laughter and conversation by the evening fire, you’ll find space to slow down, breathe deeply, and let your imagination wander where it’s meant to go.

What to Expect

Core Retreat Package:

Each day offers a refreshing balance of dedicated writing time, optional workshops, and opportunities to slow down and savor the unmistakable beauty of New England in autumn.

Activities include:

  • Guided writing exercises & creativity workshops

  • Peer feedback circles

  • Optional yoga & mindfulness sessions

  • Communal meals prepared on-site

  • Plenty of independent writing time

  • Seasonal activities and opportunities to enjoy the local area

  • A cozy pajama party to bond and unwind

Writer’s Inspiration Package:

Our New England Inspiration Package* builds on everything you love about the Core Retreat, adding thoughtfully curated local experiences designed to immerse you in the season and draw creative inspiration from the place itself.

Rather than simply checking destinations off a list, these excursions are about experiencing New England at its most quintessential. Depending on our retreat location, we may explore charming small towns, scenic overlooks, historic sites, local shops, farmers markets, bookstores, cafés, walking trails, orchards, or other seasonal destinations that capture the character of the area.

We’ll take time to appreciate the details that make autumn in New England so iconic—the brilliant foliage, historic architecture, winding country roads, cozy main streets, crisp air, seasonal flavors, and landscapes that look as though they belong on the cover of a novel.

These experiences are designed to give you something to bring back to the page. You might find yourself sketching a setting from a picturesque village, developing a character while wandering beneath a canopy of colorful trees, or simply filling your notebook with observations, memories, and little details you can draw upon long after the retreat ends.

You’ll also enjoy dedicated writing time and professional workshops, enriched by experiences that offer fresh perspective and creative fuel throughout the weekend.

*Requires a minimum number of participants to take place, otherwise the additional fees associated with our Inspiration Package will be refunded.

A Day in the Life of a Story Sirens Retreater

Begin your morning with optional yoga or a peaceful stroll in nature before enjoying a nourishing breakfast. Spend your days immersed in writing, workshops, and/or relaxing outside with your notebook while the brilliant colors of autumn surround you.

Depending on the day, you might curl up in a cozy corner with your laptop, take a walk beneath a canopy of changing leaves, explore the local area, or simply settle into a quiet afternoon of writing.

Snacks, coffee, tea, and soda are available around the clock, and all meals are included in your retreat fee.

All writing activities are optional—we want you to follow the natural rhythm of your creativity wherever it leads you.

Evenings bring everyone together for delicious meals, meaningful conversations, and the kind of laughter that lasts long after the retreat ends. And, of course, there will be plenty of opportunities to admire the autumn landscape, share stories, and soak up the magic of the season.
