“The 2026 Story Sirens Coastal Writing Retreat in Maine was one of the best trips I've taken in a while. I wasn't sure what to expect with it being my first writing retreat, but it definitely exceeded all expectations. I was a little afraid of traveling solo and meeting so many strangers, but as soon as I walked through the door I felt instantly welcomed. I connected with the other writers quickly and soon we were all friends. Everything from the venue and food, to the workshops and excursions were so thoughtfully planned out. I was the only one of the group who wrote non-fiction and truly appreciated that the more fiction-forward workshops were tweaked to help me gain some new knowledge as well. I was most nervous about the peer feedback circle and that turned out to be my favorite. Everyone was so willing to support each others work, and help make it even better. This was truly a one-of-a-kind experience for me and am already considering my next Story Sirens retreat! Gino + Ash are the best and really created something special here!”

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Story Sirens Maine retreat. Through our four-day retreat, I got to meet and connect with wonderful writers, some in my genre, and some outside of my genre. I grew so much learning and listening to everyone, as well as getting the chance to read their writing, especially from the writers who write outside my genre. Gino was a fantastic planner through the weekend, navigating us through some rain and events needing to be moved around, making sure we got both writing time and inspiring excursions. I just had the absolute best time, I was able to make progress on my writing and spend time among awesome people. If you’re thinking about going on one, I would highly recommend it!
I just attended a Story Siren's writing retreat in Marble Falls, Texas and WOW. It was so relaxing and productive. A weekend away to focus on my novel in a beautiful setting with likeminded and encouraging women, AND I don't have to cook?? Heaven. At first I was a bit nervous to meet everyone, but I felt at welcomed and home the second I walked in the door. While we were encouraged to get to know the other woman and participate in workshops and fun evening actives, Gino and Ash were sure we knew that if we wanted to write in a corner with our headphones on all weekend, that was completely fine. I made tons of progress on my novel, and the peer feedback I got was absolutely invaluable. I also really enjoyed Ash's workshops. She made many things land for me in a way they never had before. Meeting and getting to know the hosts Ash and Gino was a treat---they are so authentic and kind, and just want to see their retreaters succeed. They are not out here trying to get rich on authors, hence the affordability of the price compared to other retreats. They do this because they genuinely love it, and want writing retreats to be accessible to more budgets. It's hard to find spaces and people like that, and when you do, you want to hold on tight.
I highly recommend this retreat!!!
