This summer, trade your daily routines for salty sea air, rolling tides, and a soul-restoring creative escape along the coast of New England. Our Summer Writing Retreat is designed for inspiration, gentle adventure, and deep reconnection — with your writing, your voice, and a supportive community of women who love stories as much as you do.
Set amid rugged shorelines, quiet harbors, and sunlit coastal paths, this retreat blends uninterrupted writing time with optional seaside excursions that awaken the senses and spark creativity. Whether you’re journaling by the water’s edge, drafting chapters to the rhythm of the waves, or sharing laughter and stories during golden-hour evenings, you’ll find space here to slow down, breathe deeply, and let your imagination drift freely.
What to Expect
Each day offers a refreshing balance of dedicated writing time, optional workshops, and opportunities to soak up the classic beauty of a New England summer.

A Day in the Life of a Story Sirens Retreater
Begin your morning with optional yoga or a peaceful stroll in nature before enjoying a nourishing breakfast. Spend your days immersed in writing sessions, creativity workshops, or relaxing outside with your notebook and the sound of waves nearby. If you wish, join one of our excursions for an extra burst of inspiration and adventure.
Evenings bring everyone together for delicious meals, meaningful conversations, and the kind of laughter that lasts long after the retreat ends.
Snacks, coffee, tea, and soda are available around the clock, and all meals are included in your retreat fee.
Again, all writing activities are optional — we want you to follow the rhythm your creativity needs most.

Writers of all genres and experience levels are encouraged to join us. While the retreat leans fiction-forward, we’ve welcomed memoirists, poets, essayists, bloggers, nonfiction writers, and more. If you’re seeking a supportive, judgment-free environment to create, explore, and grow, you’ll feel right at home.
Lodging & Cost
Cost: $950 per person
Deposit: $290 to reserve your spot (applied to the total)
Accommodations:
A mix of comfortable bunk rooms and a limited number of private rooms (first come, first served for an additional $100).
Our New England venue offers charming outdoor spaces, cozy indoor writing nooks, and plenty of room to relax, write, and unwind between excursions and activities.

We require a minimum number of participants to host this retreat. If that number isn’t reached, the retreat will not take place—and any deposits paid will be fully refunded.
